The Institute Nouvelles Vagues open its doors in the second half of 2009 in the neighborhood of the Platform in the city of Salvador-Bahia, Brazil. It is a cultural area, breeding, production and exhibition built in a field of 40 000 m2 in the Bay of All Saints.
It brings together more than 3000 m2, galleries, artists workshops for residents, a recording studio, multipurpose spaces for events (exhibitions, parades, seminars for companies), Studio of Photography and Video, guest house, canteen, bar, library, office projection, offices…
Also a hotel, an SPA, a room for gymnastics and sports equipment, a restaurant, a business connected to the culture, ecology, trade and sustainable development will be integrated.
Open for the world, the NVI receive resident artists of all nationalities and different areas: music, visual arts, fashion, designer, photography, architecture, dance…
The NVI receive intemédio by neighborhood associations, the Association Platform 21, a home for children, through workshops and training of language.
